What is Classroom Management?
Classroom management is perhaps the most important thing a teacher needs in their toolbox. Of course it is important to have very honed art skills and successful methods for teaching the art, but if a teacher cannot control their classroom, all hope is lost for the lesson being taught.

Classroom Management Tips:
Make a plan and stick to it (consistency is key)
Respect supplies, respect students, respect teacher
Send documentation to parents (make sure you are in contact with the parents so they feel like you really care about the success of their child)
Model teach (make a mini lesson for everything and have them practice until they can do it correctly)
Make instructional videos
Vary instructional methods (do something different every day. Color cards, attention getting kit, etc).
One word method (don't use more words/energy than you have to to get a point across to students, they should be listening and understanding).
Songs/chants/whole brain teaching
Master visual ques (clean up maps, time timer)
Labeling (with pictures)
Picture of "how it should look"
Build independence (ask 3 ask me: ask 3 friends then ask me)
